1. General
This Privacy Policy explains how Minority, a sole proprietorship, processes personal information in connection with Verne and the related services available through verne.me.
2. Personal Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated when you use the service, and information received through Google sign-in or email-and-password account access. This may include account identifiers such as your email address and provider user ID, travel plans you save from Verne or from connected chat flows, trip titles, itinerary items, notes, sharing state, session or device data, IP address, browser information, and service access logs. When you connect Verne to a ChatGPT app or other AI client through the Verne MCP endpoint, place names, dates, addresses, and free-text notes you provide in that conversation are sent to Verne so the connected client can save or revise your trip on your behalf; Verne does not receive the rest of the conversation, and tool inputs and outputs are limited to the trip data described in this policy.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect personal information when you sign in with Google or email and password, when you create or edit trips in Verne, when you use sharing features, and when technical information is generated automatically through normal service operation and security logging.
4. Purposes of Processing
We use personal information to authenticate users, provide and maintain trip planning features, save and restore your trip data, operate read-only sharing links, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, investigate security events, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information for as long as it is needed to provide the service or meet legal, security, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the related travel plans and account-linked data unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law.
6. Third-Party Sharing, Processors, and Cross-Border Processing
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use advertising analytics. We use service providers that may process personal information on our behalf or store it in jurisdictions outside South Korea, including Firebase Authentication for sign-in, Firebase App Hosting and Google Cloud Run for hosting and application delivery, Turso for database infrastructure, Cloudflare for network and security services, and Geoapify for place search and map-related requests.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Verne uses cookies or similar technologies only as needed for essential service operation, such as maintaining session state, remembering service preferences, and supporting security protections. Verne does not use these technologies for advertising profiling.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information. You may also request account deletion or contact us to exercise privacy rights using support@verne.me.
9. Destruction of Personal Information
When personal information is no longer required, we delete it using reasonable technical and administrative measures designed to prevent recovery or unauthorized use, unless continued retention is required by law.
10. Security Measures
We apply reasonable security measures appropriate to the nature of the service, including authenticated access controls, limited operational access, transport-layer protections, logging, and other safeguards intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.
11. Contact and Redress
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise your rights, contact support@verne.me. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may also seek assistance from the relevant privacy or dispute-resolution authority available under applicable law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or service changes. When we do, we will post the updated version with the revised last updated date.
